About
I am a Mechatronics Engineering graduate from the University of Auckland working across safety-critical embedded systems, robotics, autonomous systems, hardware-software integration, and system-level verification. My work focuses on reliable technology for real-world environments where software, electronics, mechanics, and user needs have to come together cleanly.
At Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, I develop embedded software and verification systems for respiratory medical devices. This includes designing transport-agnostic communication architectures with Protocol Buffers and CoAP, bringing up Zephyr-based platforms, implementing functional-safety mechanisms, and co-developing HIL test platforms with simulated operating conditions and fault injection.
I am also Co-Founder of VistaVision, a tele-robotic ophthalmology venture focused on improving access to specialist eye care. Through this work I have helped translate clinician and user needs into functional, safety, usability, and interface requirements while integrating embedded control hardware, imaging equipment, motion systems, remote-operation software, and safety-critical motion-control behaviour.
Remote eye examination system combining robotics, embedded software, and telemedicine.
Autonomous surveying aircraft architecture with Python sizing, performance analysis, and ArduPilot flight-control planning.
Raspberry Pi-based OpenClaw assistant controlled through Discord with reusable skills, hooks, and engineering automation workflows.
Medical-device communication work using Zephyr's CoAP stack, protobuf messages, secure sessions, and C# engineering tools.
